Welcome to the Altimo website.

 

We launched Altimo in December 2005 with the goal of becoming a leading force in the emerging telecoms markets across Eurasia. We will achieve this goal by increasing the value of our own investment portfolio, as well as that of our co-shareholders and the companies in which we invest. We will achieve this by sticking to our strategy of pursuing and creating value, in our investment portfolio, for our partners, and in the companies in which we invest.

 

I am proud of Altimo`s successes to date. Its unrivalled knowledge and expertise in investing in specialised telecommunications markets in Russia, the CIS and Turkey has helped us become one of the largest and most experienced telecoms investors in the region. Our commitment to value creation and strong financial growth has led to the value of our investment portfolio exceeding $13 billion in 2009.

 

We believe our mission is to further contribute to the development of mobile communications in the fast growing markets of Eurasia and namespace Asia. In conjunction with that mission, we are committed to the highest business standards and transparent corporate governance.We continue to look to establish a strategic partnership with a leading European telecoms operator, combining our experience of investing in emerging markets and their operating expertise, to better develop opportunities in those rapidly expanding economies.
